KMI Construction has experts in the field of insurance restoration. We handle both natural disasters as well as fire damage.
Living in the Midwest, we are very prone to natural disasters such as hail and tornados. When natural disasters strike an area, the area becomes flooded with every salesman and storm chaser in the area and beyond. It is important to know who you are using, and to use a company you know is not going to be gone in 3 months after their project set is over.
We are experts in this field and offer free inspections for storm damage. We will provide you pictures of any damage we find and we will be completely honest about the damage. When we show you the pictures, we will give you our opinion on if you should call your insurance company and how much if anything we think they will cover. If it is decided that filing a claim is a good idea, we can also meet with your adjuster and make sure everyone is on the same page. We do not make you sign a contingency agreement for us to help you.
Hail Damage
Hail storm are common in the Midwest. The damage that these storms will cause vary on the size of the hail and the speed of wind. Hail damage is easy to detect on your siding, gutters, screens, and fascia. Hail damage on roofs is not as easy to detect. Small and large hail will age your shingles faster than normal wear and tear. Small hail with fast wind and large hail can crack the matting of the shingles and possibly cause leaks.
Wind Damage
High wind can wreak havoc on your roofs. The wind will break tar seals, pull the shingles through the nails, crease shingles, and remove shingles. Some wind damage is very obvious when you can see the shingles off the roof. Other damage is not noticeable from the ground. One thing the wind will do is lift up multiple shingles and rip them through the nails; however, the seal may not break between the shingles and they may lay back down flat. Your shingles are only being held on your roof by the seal and are very susceptible to future damage and leaks during an average rain. Another way wind damages shingles is by creasing/folding the shingles. This damage weakens the shingles and makes it very susceptible to breaking off.
Fire Damage
KMI handles fire damage rebuilds. We understand the emotional stress fires cause on homeowners. We help out in anyway we can throughout the process, but we do not pressure the homeowner to take any action until they are ready. If you damage is merely smoke damage, we are not able to help.
Water Damage
Water damage can occur internally from pipes breaking and tubs over flowing, or they can occur externally from nature. We are able to help in the tear out to rebuild. If you suffer water damage, we use XMICROBE technology to help protect your home and possessions from mold.
